Daniel (Danny) DeSio is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Kinesiology and Applied Physiology Graduate Program. He graduated from Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2016. He decided to continue his education and earned an M.S. in Athletic Training at Seton Hall University, graduating in 2018. He is a member of Dr. Sara Campbell’s Laboratory and is currently investigating the gut microbiome and its connection to antibiotic use and how it may affect exercise capacity. In his free time, Danny enjoys the beach, playing drums, friends/family, watching Rutgers sports, and any form of physical activity.
