Thomas (Tommy) Degroat is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences Graduate Program. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Neuroscience. He works in Dr. Troy Roepke’s lab where he studies the effects of chronic stress on behavior, neuronal electrophysiology, and gene expression in the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis. In his free time, Tommy enjoys baking, going to museums, trying new restaurants, and live theater.
