Pre2 CaP secures continued funding for activities

The Pre2 CaP laboratory received additional funding to support research activities in the upcoming academic year. We are grateful for our collaboration with Dr. Isla Garraway at the Greater LA Veterans Administration and UCLA, and to Rutgers Cancer Institute for support.

  1. SPLP-002-25S (MPI: Garraway, Vassy) – Modeling Informed Prostate Cancer Screening for High-Risk Populations Managed in the Veterans Affairs Healthcare System – $302,117 (2026-2028)
  2. Rutgers Cancer Institute New Investigator Pilot Award (PI: Iyer) –  Cardiovascular Risk Factors, Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances and Androgen Deprivation Therapy in Men with Prostate Cancer – $60,000 (2026-2027)

These funds will allow our team to continue working towards more optimal screening strategies in high-risk men, and to improve our understanding of how forever chemical exposures in drinking water influence health in men with prostate cancer.
