Alysta is majoring in Biological Sciences with minors in Mathematics and Spanish.  She is in the BA/MD program at Rutgers.  She received the Rutgers Trustee Scholar at the Honors College in 2019 and the Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award (Univ. of Rochester) in 2018.

Alysta is involved in investigating how nutrient limitation affects mTORC2 signaling.  Her work is relevant for the development of new treatment strategies for diabetes and cancer.
