How I got into science: Watching documentaries on the Discovery Network and The Science Channel at a young age drove my curiosity for science. Also, tearing my ACL in highschool set me on the path of medicine.

Hobbies: Working out, playing sports, and listening to podcasts!

Jay is majoring in Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Rutgers SAS Honors Program.  He won third place in the Health Occupations Students of America State Wide Competition (for Behavioral Health) in 2021.  He is a member of the Phi Delta Epsilon NJ Beta Chapter, Rutgers SAS Honors Program Peer mentor and Rutgers Scuba Diving Club.

Jay is involved in investigating how nutrient limitation affects mTORC2 signaling.  His work is relevant for the development of better treatment strategies for diabetes and cancer.,
