How I got into science: I was really into dinosaurs as a kid, which inspired a love of fantasy and science fiction books, and later generated interest in topics like genetics and evolution.

Favorite Movie: Rise of the Guardians

Hobbies: Reading, playing video games and D&D, baking, sewing, and puzzles.

Samiyah is an Honors student at Rutgers University, majoring in genetics with a minor in computer science.
