If you have been working at CALC, please speak with Dr. Wang and your mentor directly.

If you have not worked at CALC but only taking Dr. Wang’s 300-level courses, you will not get a letter from Dr. Wang for grad school applications, unless you have done exceptionally well (e.g., perfect scores, invited presentations, invited to work at CALC). However, please keep in mind that letters from professors you know from large lectures usually don’t carry as much weight in your applications. If you think your best bet is still to get a letter from me, please reach out and include the following information in your email: your CV, transcript, which course you took, during which semester, what grade you received, and how you stood out.
