A conference on the concept of ‘laws of nature’ exploring a variety of issues in the metaphysics of scientific laws: What makes some generalizations express a ‘law of nature’ and others not? Should laws of nature be viewed in a Humean or non-Humean sense? What are the origins of the concept of laws of nature? Do these origins have any implication for how we should view laws of nature today?
