We thoroughly enjoyed Frank Huo’s Quantum Dynamics and Light-Matter Interactions Symposium ACS-NERM in Rochester, and Evaristo, Davood, Saswata, and Neepa each presented dynamic talks on dynamics!
PhD student Evaristo Villaseco Arribas and PI Neepa Maitra go to The American Conference for Theoretical Chemistry in beautiful Palisades-Tahoe! Neepa gives an invited talk on the exact factorization approach, and Evaristo’s poster draws lots of attention!
Dr. Patricia Vindel Zandbergen, who just began a new position at NYU, was invited to give a talk on her exact factorization work at the Molecular Interactions GRS and GRC! Go Patricia!
We enjoyed a productive return visit from Prof. Steve Ndengue of EAIFR-ICTP-Kigali with the beginning of a collaboration on using MCTDH for polaritonic systems to generate exact factorization potentials and coupling terms. We also ran a mini-workshop with Michele’s and Li’s groups Flyer_Ndengue
PhD student Davood Dar gave a fantastic presentation to pass his oral PhD candidacy exam! On to more exciting research in TDDFT!
Farewell to Dr. Patricia Vindel Zandbergen who is starting a new postdoc position at New York University in June. Congratulations Patricia and all the best for continuing great science!! We will miss you!
Congratulations to PhD student Evaristo Villaseco Arribas for winning a prestigious Chateaubriand Fellowship for a semester in France!! He will work with Prof. Federica Agostini at University Paris-Saclay on the development and application of new exact factorization based mixed quantum-classical methods.
Saswata presented his research on multistate dynamics of thymine and isocytosine.
Patricia presented “Exact-factorization based surface-hopping for ultrafast non-adiabatic dynamics”
Davood presented his work on “memory effects in quadratic response TDDFT”.
