Kayla Ruiz is a Student Project Assistant for the Maternal Wellness Solutions Project. She earned her B.S. in Medical and Molecular Microbiology from the University of California, Davis and is expected to earn her Master of Public Health from the Rutgers School of Public Health in August 2026. She also serves as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level Maternal and Child Health course at Rutgers, where she supports student learning and engagement in key public health topics.
