Brian Chao, M.A., M.S.Ed.

Brian earned an M.S.Ed. from the Johns Hopkins School of Education and an M.A. in clinical psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University. He is pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology and serves as a support specialist for young people with learning differences. He is also a Teach For America Corps alumnus, a former three-year middle school special education and math teacher, and a former clinical research coordinator. With over six years of experience working with youth, adolescents, and young adults across provider and research settings, Brian has extensive training and experience in screening and supporting individuals with diverse learning and neurocognitive abilities. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Brian has dedicated himself to understanding the lived experiences of those from underserved and neurodivergent backgrounds and to fostering resilience and well-being within the community.
