Dr. Adamo has over a decade of experience teaching and communicating science in her roles as the Director of the Rutgers University Geology Museum and a Teaching Professor in Earth and Planetary Sciences. She earned her PhD in Geological Sciences in the field paleoceanography studying climate and ocean circulation changes in the North Atlantic Ocean over the last 200,000 years. Since starting work at the Geology Museum, her research has branched out to include the areas of outreach, informal education, and increasing accessibility in the field of geoscience.
She is excited to work a team of undergraduate students while learning to create science communication products focused on the geology of Costa Rica.
