Interests
My specialization is in syntactic theory. I am interested in how humans are able to create complex sentences. I study the rules that underlie that ability and also how these rules interact with other aspects of a person’s grammar.
I have a special interest in cross-linguistic variation and universality in syntactic grammars. I have worked on number of different languages including English, French, Hindi, Icelandic, Spanish, Nuer and Telugu.
