The Academic Scholars Institute (ASI) is a five-week residential summer program where incoming EOF first-year students get a glimpse into their college coursework as well as learn strategies to support their over transition to Rutgers University – Newark.

During the summer students will:

Learn about what academic coursework is like at a research institution
Connect with other EOF Students, Faculty, and Staff
Learn about available resources, programs, and services
Practice taking personal responsibility for their learning process

Dates for summer program for 2024: June 29th – August 2nd. You will also be invited to campus for two days prior to this for placement testing and to register for your classes. These dates will be given after you decide you will be attending Rutgers University – Newark.
