Gideon Obeng

Postdoc

Gideon pursued Biological Sciences at the Undergraduate level at KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana. He then continued with a Master’s degree in Microbiology at the University of Ghana and a PhD in Molecular Pathobiology at the Graduate School of Medicine, Mie University, Tsu, Japan. For his research thesis, he studied post-transcriptional regulation of cytoskeletal genes. Currently, Gideon is seeking to understand the role of Integrin alpha 5 in pharyngeal arch artery development and remodeling. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing soccer and treating himself to a good meal and music.
