Jonathan Dias is a PhD student in the Molecular Biology, Cancer, and Genetics (MBGC) track at Rutgers Health. He is currently studying the regenerative mechanisms of blood vessel compensatory responses within the developing pharyngeal arches. He received his bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Connecticut in 2023. While there, he studied motor protein motility in microbes, limb morphogenesis in zebrafish, and most notably, the development of an effective catalyst to assist in the degradation of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) with a startup company, Aqualumos. Jonathan is a Graduate Student Association (GSA) executive board member who plans events for the bolstering community of graduate students at Rutgers Health. Outside of the lab, he enjoys soccer, camping, reading, and spending time with family.
