Dr. Meghan Byrne, Ph.D. to join CAHBIR in July 2027

Dr. Byrne is an expert in eating disorders, with a primary focus on the neural substrates of binge eating. Her research interests in eating behavior align with ongoing studies on addiction and temptation resistance at CAHBIR. She will join the CAHBIR faculty as an assistant professor in July 2027. Currently, she is completing a post-doctoral fellowship in the Section on Development and Affective Neuroscience within the Emotion and Development Branch at the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Byrne earned her doctorate from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, and completed a clinical psychology internship in Health Service Psychology at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital.
