BHI-CAHBIR PIlot Grants

To facilitate scanning at CAHBIR, we are pleased to offer 3 grant opportunities.  In addition to scanning on CAHBIR’s state of the art Siemens Prisma 3T magnet, researchers can propose studies that utilize CAHBIR’s new transcranial magnetic stimulator and EEG facilities.

Two awards are available for fall 2024 for RU-New Brunswick Faculty.  Funds for both types of grants can be used for a combination of scanning fees, TMS, EEG, technical support for analyses, subject participation fees. A percentage of funds can also be used toward nonfaculty staff effort, lab supplies and research participant costs.

Full Research Pilot Grant for RU-NB faculty: The full research pilot is for $60,000 and requires an R21-style research proposal.

CAHBIR Pilot Grant for RU-NB RFP-2024Fall

Mini Research Pilot Grant fir RU-NB faculty: Minigrants are for $40,000 are utilize a brief 3-page research proposal format.

   Mini voucher for RBHS faculty:  RBHS faculty who do not currently have federal funding for grants involving scanning and have exhausted their startup funds are eligible for $20,000 vouchers for scanning and technical services.
