Ann-Marie Raphail, PhD

Dr. Ann-Marie Raphail is a clinical neuropsychologist within the Department of Neurology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Raphail earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology from Drexel University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center – Zucker Hillside Hospital followed by a postdoctoral fellowship through the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Raphail specializes in the assessment of cognitive changes associated with neurological conditions including neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, etc.), Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and other complex medical disorders. Her clinical interests include comprehensive neuropsychological assessment and providing psychoeducation to patients and families coping with cognitive impairment. She is particularly committed to helping individuals understand their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, supporting diagnostic clarification, and guiding treatment and care planning.

Dr. Raphail’s research focuses on improving assessment methods and advancing rehabilitation approaches for individuals with cognitive disorders, with prior work utilizing technology such as virtual reality–based assessment tools and transcranial magnetic stimulation to improve functional outcomes in neurological populations.
