We welcome Razieh Mirsafaei to the group!

Razieh Mirsafaei

My name is Razieh Mirsafaei and I was born in Isfahan, Iran. I have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry research with a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Iran. I am a research scientist with over 10 years of experience in synthesizing and characterizing various kinds of nano-compounds and polymers. I have valuable experience as a research assistant and teacher assistant, too. During all my academic years, I have always been selected as a top researcher. I am passionate about research and exploring new ideas in chemistry. Research gives me the best of both worlds; teaching and learning. I have never stopped my research around chemistry during these years. I also enjoy staying up to date with new research in chemistry and learning about new techniques and approaches to solving problems. My research interests mainly focus on the design and synthesis of biopolymers based on nanomaterials for catalysts, drug nanocarriers for cancer treatment, and clay-polymer nanocomposites. I have published 15 ISI papers with extended interests in organic chemistry, multifunctional polymers, and drug delivery research with one authorship book and a chapter book on organic and polymer reactions.
