With the continued federal government shutdown, many New Jersey residents will lose their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits as of this Saturday, November 1st. During this challenging time, the Department of Family and Community Health Sciences has been compiling and updating a list of Food Pantries Across New Jersey to support families affected by this issue. This project was led by Erin Comollo with the help of many SEBS and Public Health Students. For information on county resources we currently don’t have listed, we would recommend asking individuals to call NJ 211. Please share these resources with your community partners, volunteer your time, and consider donating to these local organizations, as they will be on the front lines for many people across the state facing food insecurity.
