    • Friday, Nov. 17th
      • 4:30-5 pm – Registration
      • 5-5:20 pm – Opening Remarks and Welcome
      • 5:30-6:45 pm – PANEL 1: From Historical Deceptions to Theatrical Revelations
      • 7-8 pm – Keynote Speaker Ronald L. Martinez (Brown University): Terence’s Eunuch as Mask: Disguising/Disclosing Carnal Desire in Petrarch and Boccaccio.
    • Saturday, Nov. 18th
      • 10 am – Welcome
      • 10:15-11:45 am – PANEL 2: Art, Identity, and Deception
      • 12-1 pm – Keynote Speaker Teresa Fiore (Montclair State University): Masking as Re-Invention: Secrets and Lies in Italian-Language Texts about Migration and Adoption
      • 1-1:20 pm – Closing Remarks and Acknowledgements
      • 1:30-2:30 pm – Lunch

    The conference will be held at Rutgers’ Cook/Douglass campus, at the Wood Lawn Mansion, a nineteenth-century mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

  • HOW TO GET THERE

– By car: you can park on University parking lots as a Visitor. Buy your parking permit here for 5$.

– By train: from New Brunswick Train Station walk to the Bus Stop “Scott Hall” (40 College Ave. The bus leaves from the Starbuck’s side of the street):

 

On Friday: take bus EE or F direction Cook/Douglass

On Saturday: take bus Weekend 2

>>> Get off at “Biel Road” Bus Stop. The bus Stop is on the corners of Biel and Dudley Road. Dudley Road is located behind the Wood Lawn Mansion complex so you will need to walk to the parking lot at the Nicholas Residence Hall, then take the path behind the building to the Wood Lawn Mansion:
