I am a rising senior at Xavier University of Louisiana, studying in Psychological Sciences with a double concentration in African American Diaspora Studies and Spanish. I’m part of the Graduate School’s Rutgers Summer Undergraduate Research Institute program. I am a McNair Scholar, MERCK Sharp & Dohme Biomedical Scholar, and Neurosciences and Society Dana Foundation Scholar. I am primarily interested in how psychopathologies and disorders are presented in diverse populations and in addressing mental health disparities. I would like to understand how an individual’s affective state, social interactions, and stress influence memory. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, cooking new dishes, swimming, listening to music, painting, and spending time with my friends and family.
