Art History 201:
Power Button: On
Audio: plug audio cable into headphone jack of device.
Adjust volume using the 3rd dial on the bottom of the rack. The other dials should be blocked off with tape.
Please note, you might need to change the audio output path on your computer if also connecting via HDMI to the projector.
Projector: Use the white Sony remote. Press the on button.
Use letters to determine input source: B = VGA, C=HDMI, D=DVD Player in rack.
When finished, please TURN OFF both the projector and rack.
Art History 202:
Power Button: On
Audio: Plug audio cable into headphone jack on your device
Adjust volume using the dial labeled DVD/VGA on the bottom of the rack.
Please note, you might need to change the audio output path on your computer if also connecting via HDMI to the projector.
Projector: Use the loose, white Epson Remote, and press the blue power button. Use the white buttons labeled “computer” or “HDMI” to select the input source on the projector.
When finished, please TURN OFF both the projector and the rack. Please note, the projector in this room requires that you press the blue power button on the remote twice to fully turn off the projector.
Walters 240:
Power on: Flip the switch on the Power Strip above the CD Player. Then turn on the individual devices if necessary. (most should turn on automatically)
Plug the audio cable into your device. Then ensure the receiver is set to AV6 as the audio input. To do this use the left or right input buttons on the receiver to scroll until you find AV6.
Projector: Use the remote labeled “Projector” to power on the projector. After the lamp warms up, use the remote to select the appropriate input.
When you are finished, use the remote to turn off the projector, and flip the switch on the power strip.
Shindell Choral Hall (Mortenson):
On Screen to the right of the rack: Tap the screen, then press touch to begin.
If using Audio ONLY: Connect audio cable to the headphone jack of your device. Please only use the separate audio cable, not the one attached to the VGA cable. Then on the screen, Press Input Selection, go to VGA IN, then select Light Booth on the side menu. Volume control is located in the top right of the screen under Main VOL.
If using Video and Audio, on the screen select either VGA IN or HDMI IN based on the type of connection you’re using, and then press projector or smart board on the side menu depending on where you wish to have the image displayed. Please note, if selecting Projector, the screen will automatically descend or retract when the projector is on or off respectively. There is no need for direct control of the screen.
When Finished, on the screen go to System, then SHUTDOWN, and then wait for the bar on the screen to move all the way to the left before leaving.
Please note: Using the microphones, camera, and other recording equipment in the hall is strictly prohibited without arranging with Rutgers Recording Services.
Bauer Music Room (Mortenson):
Power Button on the bottom of the Rack: ON
On Screen to the right of rack: Tap the screen, then press touch to begin.
If using audio ONLY: plug the audio cable labeled “Video IN” to the headphone jack on your device. Then on the screen go to Input Selection then Video In.
If using video and audio: on the screen select VGA or HDMI IN based on the type of connection you’re using, and then press projector or smart board on the side menu based on where you wish to have the image displayed.
When Finished: on the screen go to System, then SHUTDOWN, and then wait for the bar on the screen to move all the way to the left before leaving. Then Turn off the power button on the bottom of the rack.
Marryott Music Building 207 (VGA ONLY)
Power button on lower left of rack: ON
Audio: Connect audio cable to headphone jack on your device.
On the receiver on the bottom of the rack, press “iPad, Computer” and use the main wheel for volume control.
Press “blu ray/ dvd/cd player” for audio if using those devices during your class.
Projector: On the wall to the left of the rack there is a white control panel.
Press the “ON” button to turn on the projector.
Attach a VGA cable to the bottom of the control panel in the slot labeled “computer”. Attach the other end of the cable to your device. On the main control panel press the “comp” button, or “video” button for the image from your computer/or DVD player to be displayed respectively.
When finished, on the projector control panel, press the “Off” button twice. Then on the bottom left of the rack, press the power button.
Schare (VGA ONLY) (Marryott Music Building)
For Projector Use: Use the control panel on the wall to the right of the tech cabinet.
Press the On button to turn the projector on, and then press the “comp” button for VGA input.
For audio you will need to follow the directions above…do not use the attached audio cable you will find on the VGA cable or plug any audio cables into the side panel on the stage left stairs.
Plug one end of the VGA cable into the side panel on the Stage Left stairs, and the other end into your device.
When finished, unplug all the cables and place them back in the cabinet. Press the “OFF” button twice on the projector control panel, and please retract the screen.

Marryott Music Building 109 (VGA ONLY)

Turn the power button on for each individual piece of equipment.
Audio: plug the audio cable into the headphone jack on your device. For volume control use the large dial on the receiver.
Projector use: Plug one end of VGA cable into your device, and the other into the jack labeled “computer” to the bottom left of the chalkboard. The Projector control panel in this room does not work, and you will need to use the remote to control the projector.
When you are finished please turn off each individual piece of equipment in the cabinet with their respective power buttons and return the projector remote inside the cabinet as well.
Rehearsal Hall 104:
Power on: Switch power switch on top of rack.
Plug the loose end of the HDMI wire into your device.
Use the White Remote control in the drawer to turn on the projector and select the appropriate input: A = VGA, B = EMPTY, C = DVD/Blu Ray, D = HDMI.
Audio: Attach the audio cable to the headphone jack on your device. Volume control is on the White panel on the rack. Of the 4 buttons along the bottom of the panel, use the right-most one to control master volume. Red lights to the right tell you your input volume is too loud. In this case, decrease the volume on your device and increase the volume on the panel further.
When you are finished, please use the White Remote to turn off the projector, and then disconnect all cables from your device. Then turn off the power switch on the upper right of the rack.
Rehearsal Hall 201: (VGA ONLY)
Power on: Turn on the power strip at the back of the cabinet. Then turn on each individual device as needed, if necessary. (Most should turn on automatically)
Audio: Connect white audio cable to your device. Then select the “PC” button on the receiver. Select the “DVD/cd” button if you are using the dvd player.
Projector: Use the white remote to turn on the projector. This room is VGA only, and so you might need to select “source search” on the remote to find the appropriate input on the projector, although “computer 1” might be automatically selected.
When you are finished, use the white remote to turn off the projector by pressing the power button two times. Then turn off the switch on the power strip at the back of the cabinet. Please remember to re-lock the cabinet before you leave.
