What is Rutgers Discovering Psychology Day?
Rutgers Discovering Psychology Day is an annual virtual event designed to support prospective psychology Ph.D. applicants as they prepare for the graduate admissions process. The goal of this event is to help participants learn more about Rutgers Psychology, psychology doctoral programs more broadly, and the process of identifying research fit, preparing application materials, and navigating graduate admissions.
The event will take place virtually on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM EST. Participants may attend as many sessions as they would like based on their interests and availability.
As part of the event, some participants may also have the opportunity to meet with Rutgers Psychology faculty members in small groups. These small-group meetings are intended to provide additional guidance and exposure for students who may not otherwise have access to faculty mentorship, research advising, or conversations about graduate training. Space in these meetings may be limited, and we will do our best to match participants based on research interests and faculty availability.
