Application – Diversifying Psychology Day

You can apply for this event online. Applications are due September 8, 2023 at 11:59pm EST.

How does the application process work?

This event will involve informational webinars and panels with graduate students where you can informally ask questions about graduate school. Optionally, you may also apply for the opportunity to meet with Rutgers’ Psychology Faculty Members in small group meetings. In these small groups you will have the opportunity to ask questions about applying to graduate school, the Psychology programs at Rutgers, the faculty’s research interests, what it’s like to work in a lab as a graduate student, etc.

To apply for the webinars and panels only, you will simply need to answer some questions about demographics, your major(s), and interest in the event. To apply for the opportunity to meet with Rutgers faculty, you will also need to answer some short response questions, report your GPA, and attach your unofficial transcript. The short response questions for this portion of the application are as follows:

Please describe your current and previous research experience, if any (150-200 words). If you do not have any prior research experience please write “N/A”.
Please describe your research interests and goals for graduate school (150-200 words).

All of this application information will be submitted via an online survey using the link above.
