If you have an existing Zoom account linked to your Rutgers email address you must either change the email address linked to that account, or delete / terminate the account.

Prior to accessing Zoom for the first time, you must activate the service via the Rutgers NetID system. To do so, visit the Zoom at Rutgers homepage and click “Sign Up”. After authenticating with your NetID, check the “Rutgers” checkbox (Fig 1 #1), then click “Activate Services” (Fig 1 # 2).

Visit the NetID Management & Service Activation homepage and click “Service Activation.”

Please note, if you receive an error when attempting to activate the service then you likely have an existing Zoom account linked to your Rutgers email address.
