Please join us in congratulating Brian Greer (PI at Rutgers) and Timothy Shahan (PI at Utah State University) for their recent competitive renewal application called Basic and clinical studies in reinforcing positive behaviors in intellectual and developmental disabilities. This R01 application received a priority score of 15 (1st percentile) from the Childhood Psychopathology and Developmental Disabilities study section of the NIH Center for Scientific Review. Earning such an impressive priority score is amazing, especially considering that this was the first submission of this competitive-renewal application.
This translational project represents a collaboration between basic and clinical researchers to use explicit predictions of a quantitative theory of behavior to develop innovative methods to reduce treatment relapse to severe problem behavior in children with intellectual developmental disorder and autism spectrum disorder.
