Craig Strohmeier, Psy.D., BCBA-D is a licensed psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst in the Severe Behavior Program of the Children’s Specialized Hospital-Rutgers University Center for Autism Research, Education, and Services (RUCARES). Dr. Strohmeier received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Millersville University and his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Temple University. Dr. Strohmeier continued his higher education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received both a master’s and doctoral degree in clinical psychology and completed his post-doctoral training at Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Following his post-doctoral training, Dr. Strohmeier was a provider at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Neurobehavioral Unit Outpatient Clinic and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Stroheimer primarily conducts surrounding a contextual approach to the assessment and treatment of severe challenging behavior, behavioral treatment compatibility and generalization outside of the clinical context, and caregiver adherence to behavioral treatment protocols.
