Sent On Ahead: Looking at Groundbreaking Missions to India, Japan, and the Middle East

In recognition of 130 years of missionary activity in the Middle East, 160 years of missions in Japan, and 200 years of medical missions in India, the Reformed Church Center at New Brunswick Theological Seminary is partnering with RCA Global Missions and the Center for Cultural Analysis at Rutgers University to host “Sent On Ahead: Looking at Groundbreaking Missions to India, Japan, and the Middle East” on Monday, November 18, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

There will be a number of speakers who will discuss early Japanese contacts with the Dutch Reformed Church. Professor Haruko Wakabayashi will talk about the impacts of Christianity on the samurai of late nineteenth century Japan. For details see https://www.nbts.edu/events/sent-on-ahead/.
