Pre-Orientation Checklist

Make sure you read this entire page carefully. It contains many mandatory items you need to accomplish before Orientation begins July 21, 2025. Below if the checklist of items that must be completed prior to Orientation. Details for each task of the checklist can be found under “Important Requirements”.

Pre-Orientation Checklist 

Make sure you complete all of the following tasks by the deadline (the list is organized based on due dates). For specific instructions to complete each task, visit the Important Requirements page.

  1. Complete all financial aid applications (FAFSA and RBHS)
    1. Please email rbhs_pisc@ofa.rutgers.edu with your netID for any specific questions regarding your financial aid package
  2. Activate your Rutgers NetID and Duo Two-Step Verification
  3. Find housing and roommates (see Housing Information for more resources)
  4. Complete Student Intake Form (due TBD)
  5. Submit Student ID Photo to Rutgers IT and OneDrive (due TBD)
    1. Former Rutgers Students, please keep your old ID cards. These will be updated to give you access to the medical school.
    2. If you update your photo you can pick up a free replacement ID from a ID center on campus, or you can just continue using the one you have now! https://ipo.rutgers.edu/publicsafety/iam/student-id (Locations)
    3. If your previous ID was issued before March 2018 you can get a new ID with the updated technology.
  6. Submit Background Check (due June 30th, 2025; initiate request ASAP)
  7. Submit Official Transcripts (due June 30th, 2025; ensure that degree is posted before sending final transcript)
    1. BA/MD must contact admissions to send their transcript
  8. Upload Student Health Forms (due June 30th, 2025; if accepted on or after June 1st, your forms are due on July 14th, 2025)
  9. Choose “Commit to Enroll” with RWJMS on AMCAS; Withdraw from Waitlists at other institutions (July 1)
  10. Request tickets for the White Coat Ceremony (due TBD)
  11. Complete Introduction to Physicianship Summer Assignment (due TBD)
  12. Complete AMA Modules (dueT BD)
  13. Order Medical Equipment (due date TBD, equipment required by TBD)
  14. Get Ahead (Highly suggested):
    1. Biochemistry Self-Assessment Quiz due Friday July 25th, 2025 (retake due July 28)
    2. CITI Training due TBD
  15. Medical equipment order forms due TBD for AMSA discount package. If you are buying them separately, you must have all the required medical equipment by TBD for class on TBD
  16. Purchase parking permit (before start of orientation on July 21st, 2025)
