The White Coat Ceremony will take place July 26, 2024 from 3 to 4:30 pm at the State Theatre New Jersey (15 Livingston Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901).

Each student is allotted 8 tickets (not including yourself!), and you will have the option to request additional tickets. Please note that additional guest tickets are not guaranteed and are dependent on availability. Tickets will be distributed during Orientation Week; they will not be mailed.

Ceremony FAQs:

  • Q: When will I receive my guest tickets?
    • A: Guest tickets will be distributed on Monday, July 22 during orientation.
  • Q: Are the guest tickets paper copies or electronic?
    • A: Guest tickets are paper copies. You are responsible for getting the tickets to your guests before Friday.
  • Q: Are there reserved seats for each ticket? How can my guests sit together?
    • A: General seating tickets do not have reserved seats and are first come, first serve. Your guests may enter together and sit in any available seats. Accessible seating tickets do have reserved seats marked on each ticket.
  • Q: When should my guests be at the theater?
    • A: Accessible seating begins at 1:45 pm, followed by general seating starting at 2 pm. The ceremony begins at 3 pm.
  • Q: Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?
    • A: There are buses to take you from the school to the State Theatre, but there is no transport provided after the ceremony. If you need transport after the ceremony, you are welcome to park your car in New Brunswick the morning of the ceremony and arrange a ride to school for orientation activities. Most students are able to ride with their guests after the ceremony, so please see if this is an option for you.
  • Q: What do we need to bring to the ceremony?
    • A: Yourself, your white coat, and minimal essentials. Please bring as few personal belongings as possible, as there is little space to store them at the State Theatre. Small clutches and purses are acceptable.
  • Q: Is there anything we cannot bring to the ceremony?
    • A: No backpacks, outside food or drinks are allowed.
