Vinit is a Postdoctoral Associate in Dr. Shi’s group at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2025. His research focuses on membrane mechanics and the dynamics driven by protein interactions, which he investigates using a combined theoretical and experimental approach. When not pondering the complexities of membrane dynamics, he enjoys pondering the complexities of existence through philosophical debates and science documentaries.
