Resident Requirements:
- US citizen, non-citizen national of the United States, or an individual lawfully admitted for permanent residence to the United States
- Hold a MSN or DNP from a CCNE or ANCE accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Recent, new graduate within 18 months of beginning the Residency Program
- Licensed as a nurse practitioner in New Jersey with national board certification through the ANCC or AANP by the start of the program
- Be eligible or have a current DEA and CDS license in the state of New Jersey
- Be able to provide copies of BLS certification
- Agree to be a full-time participant and commit to completing the Residency Program; with an intent to serve rural, urban, and tribal underserved populations.
- This position requires work physical exam clearance by a healthcare provider, annual influenza vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine (two initial doses + booster), PPD screening, urine drug screen, and background check

- Be open to learning new techniques, technologies, and treatment modalities through continued learning and mentorship
- Possess a strong sense of empathy and compassion is essential when working with medically underserved populations, as patients may face various challenges and barriers to healthcare
- Be an effective communicator to building rapport with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Maintain a professional demeanor, adhering to policies and guidelines, and demonstrating accountability
- Have an understanding of the social determinants of health and be able to address them in patient care plans
- Demonstrated commitment to providing care to medically underserved populations.
- Bilingual preferred
