Hi everyone, I’m the Secretary of BMES this year. Apart from Biomedical Engineering, I am doing a concentration in Statistics as well as a minor in Psychology. I work as a Co-op throughout the year at Colgate-Palmolive and in my free time, I simply enjoy going out and socializing with people.

I’m a sophomore in BME and a math minor. I love to help people and I’ve been volunteering in different hospitals and physical rehabilitation centers continuously since 7th grade. In high school I played golf for our school team and was our Team Captain my senior year. I still love to play the occasional round or two. My greatest passion is dance and I’ve been learning Indian classical dance for seven years. I am on my way to obtain a masters degrees from my dance academy.

Krupa Patel

Krupa Patel is a sophomore Biomedical Engineering major with a minor in Economics. In addition to serving as the Class of 2015 Representative for BMES, she conducts research with Professor Yarmush in developing a technique using mesenchymal stem cells to treat spinal cord injury. She also loves dancing on RU RAGA, a competitive traditional Indian dance team, going on adventures, and meeting new people.
