RE: Undergraduate Updates

Dear BME Undergraduates,

I hope everyone had a relaxing break, and that your semester is off to a great start!UNDERGRADUATE DEPARTMENT UPDATES

We are still without an Undergraduate Administrator, so in the meantime I am managing all SPN requests. However, Degree Navigator, pre-req overrides, and other registration issues need to be addressed by a SOE Dean or Advisor.
Please use this live chat feature for further assistance.

CHAT with an Advisor directly (weekdays 10am – 4pm)
SIRS

We noticed that the SIRS response rates were much lower this past semester. Your feedback is important to us, so a Q&A about SIRS will be released during the semester along with another opportunity to provide feedback.

WELCOME ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DR. SIMIAO NIU!
BME is pleased to welcome Dr. Simiao Niu to our faculty! Dr. Niu joins us from Apple Inc.
where he was a hardware system engineer in health sensing and technologies. Dr. Niu did postdoctoral research in chemical engineering at Stanford University, and received his Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology. His work at Rutgers will focus on
wearable physiological signal monitoring systems and energy harvesting systems for biomedical applications. By monitoring physiological signals, Dr.Niu hopes to reduce the health burden caused by chronic diseases. In his free time, Dr. Niu enjoys singing, traveling, and chess. You can find Dr. Niu in BME-304.
