Dr. DeNunzio is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where he focuses on treating CNS tumors (brain and spine) in both New Brunswick and Newark. His clinical and research interests also include proton therapy in managing pediatric and adult malignancies, normal tissue tolerances in the re-irradiation setting, personalized medicine/adaptive radiotherapy, and stereotactic radiotherapy (SRS, SBRT) to treat primary and oligometastatic disease states. Other professional interests include clinical practice guideline development (he co-authored American Society for Radiation Oncology’s clinical practice guideline on small cell lung cancer) and education of medical professionals and the general public on the practice of radiation medicine.
Dr. DeNunzio is an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Radiation Oncology division, Department of Radiation Oncology, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where he is also Associate Program Director of the Clinical Radiation Oncology Residency Program. Previously, Dr. DeNunzio was at Regional Cancer Care Associates at Hackensack Meridian Health and John Theurer Cancer Center where he was the Director of Proton Therapy in the Department of Radiation Oncology.
