Ph.D., Vanderbilt University

Dr. Gao did postdoctoral research at University of Pennsylvania. He joined Rutgers University in 2010.

Juan Flores, B.S.

Ph. D. Student

B.S., Princeton University

Juan works on two projects, both of which are related to how intestinal pathogens hijack cellular machinery and how the host endocytic machinery regulates innate immune and reparative signaling in response to pathogen. Juan is a predoctoral fellow of NJCCR.

Sheila Bandyopadhyay, B.S.

Ph.D. Student

B.S., Columbia University

Sheila works on signaling mechanisms involved in gut homeostasis.  She is currently focused on the role of small GTPase Cdc42 and its effector proteins in facilitating Salmonella infections in the gut.

Sheila is an NIH F31 Predoctoral Follow.

Ivor Joseph, B.S.

Ph.D. Student

B.S., CUNY

Ivor works on how several homologous Rab small GTPases regulate distinct aspects of signaling pathways in response to extracellular stimuli.

Iyshwarya Balasubramanian, B.S.

Ph.D. Student

Iyshwarya studies how Paneth cells regulate the intestinal innate immune response to infection.
