Excited to share our new paper on MagTile, a modular and scalable platform for ethorobotics and multi-agent control.
MagTile enables the control of ensembles of electromagnetically actuated agents using standardized components and 3D-printed parts, without complex onboard electronics. Beyond the hardware, we developed a mathematical model with Lyapunov-based analysis and a computational framework for in-silico simulation, testing, and optimization before physical deployment.
This work opens new possibilities for studying animal-robot interaction, collective behavior, and bio-inspired multiagent systems in a more flexible, scalable, and reproducible way.
