Grace Solomon, Zaccchaeus Wallace, and Shaun Montoya are the proud winners of this years Cellular Bioengineering REU Innovation & Entrepreneurship competition. Their mock company, “TrueTest, Inc.”, generated the most investment “dollars” at the 2023 Final Symposium for development of their product, which was technology for at-home screening for breast cancer.
This competition helps members in the cellular bioengineering REU think through how they would take their research from the lab and pitch it to possible investors in the hopes of taking their knowledge into the private sector.
