About the Exhibit

     The Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life’s commitment to academic excellence includes hosting international scholarly conferences, fostering faculty research, and sponsoring visiting scholars who enhance the intellectual life at Rutgers.

     The Allen and Joan Bildner Visiting Scholar Fund was established in 2010. Allen and Joan Bildner were dedicated philanthropists who took great pride in Rutgers and its emphasis on public education, established the fund to add a distinctive academic dimension and international research component to significantly enhance and strengthen Jewish Studies at Rutgers. Joan and Allen’s genuine commitment to promote scholarship to Rutgers Students and the broader community by bringing notable and distinguished scholars to campus profoundly impacts and expands the outreach objectives of the Bildner Center and the educational mission of Rutgers.
