Rutgers at Current Issues in Comparative Syntax 2

Prof. Troy Messick was invited to give a talk at Current Issues in Comparative Syntax 2: Boundaries of Ellipsis Mismatch, a hybrid conference hosted by Tsuda University in Tokyo, Japan.

He presented “P-stranding, evasion, and what they (might) mean for ellipsis identity,” work he did together with Prof. Viviane Déprez and Rutgers alum Meg Gotowski, now a visiting professor at Pomona College.

Another Rutgers alum, Matt Barros, now a lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis, also gave an invited talk. He presented “P-stranding, evasion, and what they (might) mean for ellipsis identity,” co-authored with Gary Thoms (NYU).
