In September, Yağmur gave a talk at Sinn und Bedeutung 29 in Noto Sicily. The title of her talk was “Pseudo-incorporation, event kinds, and atelicity.”
Sinn und Bedeutung is organized by the University of Messina (Department of Cognitive Sciences, Psychology, Education and Cultural Studies, COSPECS), and the University of Enna “Kore” (Department of Humanities, Foreign Languages and Education). Additional support is provided by the Leibniz-Zentrum Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft (ZAS, Department of Semantics and Pragmatics).
This year’s SUB conference featured a three-day main session (Sept. 17-19) and two satellite events, a workshop entitled “Evidentials in non-canonical speech acts” (Palazzo Pupillo Syracuse, September 16) and a workshop entitled “Does semantics have a ‘too many tools’ problem?” (Noto, September 20).
