Shanzaeya is a Medical Case Manager at IDP, who also conducts HIV testing and assists with group facilitation. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health. She is also currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her career path has included creating risk reduction interventions, implementing evidence based interventions, STD testing, group facilitation, health education, community outreach and advocacy in the Newark and surrounding area. Some of the services she provides at IDP include assisting individuals in navigating the health system, coordinating with the providers as a team effort to provide case management services, outreach, and support to those in need. She has played a major role in implementing the first staff newsletters at IDP and is known to do artistic performances for clinic programs which she truly enjoys. She is currently bringing a focus of wellness to the patient population through co-facilitating a group and also various wellness activities for the staff. On her free time, she enjoys painting, spending time with loved ones, and catching a good movie!
