Keyaara received her B.S in Chemistry (Howard University) and M.S in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (NJIT). Keyaara has worked as an R&D Scientist in the Pharmaceutical Industry. During the 2021 academic year Keyaara was also the LDD Manager/Safety Officer. She managed all lab related activities; trained new personnel and managed collaborative industrial projects within the Center. Her dynamic educational experience has allowed her to develop her skills in both analytical and formulation development of solid oral, liquid, and ophthalmic delivery systems for small molecules, as well as experience with technology transfer and scale-up. She joined Dr. Michniak’s group in 2018 and her research focuses on the transdermal delivery of drugs for disorders affecting the central nervous system.
