Last Thursday, Rutgers Linguistics had its first-ever open house for prospective students!
Students had the opportunity to meet with professors, sit in on classes, and spend some time talking with the current graduate students throughout the day.
At lunch, prospectives were able to take a closer look at some of the current research being done in the department, through a mini-conference showcasing the work of grad students and professors alike.
The day ended with a potluck dinner hosted by Prof. Kristen Syrett, where the students could get a feel for the department culture (and its pets) in a slightly more informal setting.
