Congratulations to Professor Maria Kouneli, who has been awarded a $10,000 Rutgers Global Seed Grant for the project “The Terik Verb: Documentation of an Endangered Kalenjin Language in Kenya.”
This project is a collaboration with Dr. Lynn Kisembe of Moi University in Eldoret, Kenya, and focuses on documenting the verbal system of Terik, an endangered Kalenjin language. The grant will also support the establishment of a formal collaboration between the Rutgers Department of Linguistics and Moi University.
