This year, two current graduate students and one Rutgers Linguistics alum gave presentations at Semantics and Linguistic Theory (SALT36). This rendition of SALT was held at the University of Buenos Aires from July 29-31.
Aidan Sharma and Jiayuan presented a talk on their collaborative work, ‘Deriving anti-uniqueness and non-honorificity in the Magahi definite marker -wā’. Graduate alum Ziling Zhu (current post-doc at the University of Gottingen) was also a co-author on a presentation titled “When does ‘hope’ neg-raise?” with Zahra Mirrazi, Luisa Kalvelage, and Hedde Zeijlstra.
