Akinbiyi Akinlabi Awarded Nigerian Academy of Letters Fellowship

Congratulations to Prof. Akinbiyi Akinlabi, who was conferred with the title of Overseas Fellow by the Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL).

“They have been admitted into the prestigious Fellowship of the Academy based on their outstanding contributions to scholarship and extension of frontiers of knowledge in their various subfields of the Humanities,” writes Prof. Duro Oni, president of the NAL, in an announcement. “The Fellows of the Nigerian Academy of Letters are a group of distinguished scholars of the humanities, nominated and elected in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the humanistic scholarship.”

The convocation ceremony, held at the University of Lagos on August 11, conferred the title of Fellow to 10 of its members this year, including Prof. Akinlabi. Prof. Akinlabi was inducted into the NAL last year.
