Dr. Ümit Atlamaz
On March 18th, Ümit Atlamaz sccessfully defended his dissertation, “Agreement, Case, and Nominal Licensing”. His committee members included: Mark Baker (chair), Ken Safir, Jose Camacho, and Jonathan Bobaljik.
Dr. Jess Law
After receiving the Mellon dissertation completion fellowship a year ago, Jess Law successfully defended her dissertation, “Constraints on Distributivity“, over the summer. Her committee members included: Simon Charlow (co-chair), Veneeta Dayal (co-chair), Ken Safir, and Robert Henderson.
Dr. Yağmur Sağ
Yağmur Sağ also received the Mellon dissertation completion fellowship last year and successfully defended her dissertation, “The Semantics of Number Marking: Reference to Kinds, Counting, and Optional Classifiers“, in early August. Her committee members included: Veneeta Dayal, Simon Charlow, Mark Baker, and Gennaro Chierchia.
